The Office for the Enforcement of Sentences (AJV) Graubünden is a department of the Department of Justice, Security and Health of the Canton of Graubünden. The AJV is responsible for the enforcement of sentences and measures as well as the implementation of various types of detention. In Graubünden, the enforcement of sentences and measures is regulated as a unified field and holistic task, in which various professional groups work interdisciplinarily with offenders to prevent further delinquency.

The Correctional Facility (JVA) Cazis Tignez employs around 110 staff and has 150 detention places in closed custody. Of these, 100 are in normal custody, ten in the admission department, 28 in the special custody area and twelve in pre-trial detention.

We are looking for a Social Worker by arrangement

Your area of responsibility

• Responsible for psychosocial counselling and offence-preventive social work for admitted persons
• Care of admitted persons of various origins and cultural backgrounds
• Ensuring high-quality basic care in the sense of professional case management
• Enforcement planning of admitted persons according to the processes of risk-oriented sanction enforcement (ROS)
• Writing various documents such as enforcement reports
• Interdisciplinary collaboration with other specialist departments as well as referring authorities and external specialist agencies

What we expect from you

• Completed training as a social worker FH/BSc and several years of professional experience
• Ideally, you already have experience in forensic social work
• You enjoy working with people of different origins and diverse biographies
• Structured and precise working method as well as willingness to collaborate constructively in a coercive context
• High social competence, resilience, assertiveness and ability to set boundaries
• Enjoyment of teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Good oral and written expression in German; additional knowledge of cantonal and foreign languages is an advantage
• A spotless record is required (no entries in the criminal and debt enforcement registers)
