Job Description
Encourage reading and train students of the school establishment in information research by implementing educational activities in the school library, in connection with the PER (Romand Study Plan).
Responsibilities
- Planning and managing activities necessary for the smooth running of the Villeneuve Haut-Lac school library.
- Setting up and conducting educational activities for students from 1H to 11H in connection with the PER, defined with the school management and within the framework of the Library Commission, according to recommendations and standards for school libraries.
- Promoting students' literacy skills.
- Training students in documentary research in the library, in the online catalogue and on the Internet.
- Managing the documentary policy according to the School's missions, in collaboration with the school management and the Library Commission.
- Document acquisitions, promotion and animation of the library, in consultation with the library commission.
- Managing and monitoring tasks delegated to the AID.

Qualifications
- Bachelor HES in documentary information specialist.
- Additional training in the educational field: CAS librarian in a school environment.
- Ease in contact with students aged 4 to 16 years.
- Four years of professional experience as a librarian-documentalist.
- Mastery of library techniques, standards and tools.
- Proficiency in IT tools and document management systems.
- Knowledge of ICT and skill in their use in documentary methodology.
- Excellent general knowledge, intellectual curiosity, knowledge and interest in youth literature.
- Interest in the field of education and working with teaching staff.
