Role:

As an Infrastructure Security Engineer, you bear the technical responsibility for the security of a heterogeneous IT landscape. This ranges from classic servers to modern cloud services on Azure. It is not only about reacting to threats but especially about proactive action. With your expertise, you harden systems, identify vulnerabilities, and actively drive security initiatives forward. Boredom is hardly an issue, as operations and project work go hand in hand.

Responsibilities:

• You take on project management for security initiatives and system implementations or contribute as a specialist.

• You identify security gaps with regular scans, assess them, and consistently follow up on their remediation until completion.

• You manage Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), XDR, and Privileged Access Management (PAM) and coordinate collaboration with external partners.

• Additionally, you secure servers and clients through well-thought-out hardening measures.

• Furthermore, you technically implement requirements from standards and regulations and contribute to handling security incidents.

• You also support the design and operation of virtualisation platforms and cloud services and bring in your own improvement ideas.

Qualifications:

• You have completed a university degree in computer science or a related field.

• You have already gained a foothold in the security environment, ideally combined with experience in system engineering and projects.

• You bring in-depth knowledge of Windows Server and central services such as Active Directory (AD), DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies.

• You have practical experience with Microsoft Defender, Microsoft 365, and vSphere and are confident working in cloud environments.

• Your working style is organised and independent, and you always think solution-oriented in the interests of your users.
