Job Description
Data is at the core of SCOR strategic plan Forward 2026 as one of its four enablers. As part of this ambition, the Data Foundation team plays a key role.
The Data Foundation team shapes the roadmap of a governed and trusted Data Platform, as a ‘Single Version of Truth’ across SCOR, sets its iterative objectives and is accountable for the delivery of this roadmap in a multi-year journey. The team works as a ‘Product Owner’ of the Data Foundation and acts as a liaison between the Analytics & AI teams, and the Platform team in IT, that operate the platform infrastructure stack and drive the data engineering.
As we are progressing on the journey of the Data Foundation, we are looking for a skilled Data professional to join our team as a Data Quality Lead. This position is crucial to establish an industrialized operation of our Data Foundation, to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of our data, which is shared across the Group and utilized across various Analytics Data Products. Collaborating closely with the Data Governance Lead, this role involves a blend of engineering, operational and project management work, to shape and operate a production-grade and robust Data Foundation for SCOR as a Group.
The Data Quality Leader is a professional who needs to be:

Responsibilities
- Operationalizing a Data Quality Framework for a federated data model. Setup processes and tooling to enhance visibility into data quality and issues along the data lineage and maintain high standards of trustworthy data
- Oversee Data Quality Processes: Create and uphold strong data quality frameworks and standards. Work together with cross-functional teams to implement best practices for data management and governance
- Data Quality Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics, to monitor the effectiveness of data quality at a group level, linked with immediate mitigation actions as well as Key Risk Indicators as part of SCOR’s operational risk framework
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with stakeholders across the organization to understand data quality issues, prioritize their mitigation, as well as resolution with respective data owners. Build strong relationships with counterparts across the value chain (business, IT teams, Data teams), to effectively coordinate the Data Quality Framework operation
- Stay on top of Industry Developments: Remain current with industry trends, best practices, and latest techniques in data management, quality assurance, and operational excellence. Consistently look for opportunities to improve skills and knowledge to foster innovation and achieve excellence
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data management, quality assurance, or related field
- Demonstrated experience leading data quality initiatives, including hands-on implementing tools and processes to enhance data visibility and resolve issues
- Strong understanding of data quality frameworks, standards, and best practices
- Proficiency in various data management methodologies, including but not limited to data mesh architectures, SQL databases, data warehouses, and ETL tools and data analysis tools and technologies, such as SQL, Python, or similar
- Knowledge in Data Contracts, Data Catalogs, Data Marketplace, or Metadate management is a plus
- Knowledge of Palantir Foundry and Databricks is a valued plus
- Knowledge of the re/-insurance value chain is a valued plus
- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and a flair for root-cause analysis
- Excellent organizational skills, systematic thinking and objective-driven mindset
- Excellent communication, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Strong dedication to quality and 'client' orientation
- Proficiency in English,
- Willingness to travel
- Demonstrates the ability to inspire and engage team members while fostering a stimulating, collaborative, and inclusive workplace environment
- Degree in a technical discipline (informatics, engineering, mathematics, physics)
