About the job

The SVA BL is the competence centre for social insurances in the canton of Basel-Landschaft. As an independent public-law enterprise, it fulfils a legal mandate and contributes to social security for the population and the economy of the canton.

To strengthen our Monitoring & Triage team in the Integration department of the IV office, we are looking for a motivated and experienced individual to start immediately or by arrangement as

Social Insurance Specialist IV (80 - 100 %)

What you will achieve

• Monitoring applications with still unclear integration potential
• Checking insurance requirements and entitlement to benefits
• Obtaining and assessing medical, economic and workplace-related documents
• Conducting assessment interviews and preparing reports
• Coordinating with insured persons and involved agencies
• Estimating integration potential and forwarding to the responsible follow-up team
• Discussing complex cases in interdisciplinary expert meetings and collaborating with the Regional Medical Service of both Basels (RAD)
• Independently issuing preliminary decisions and rulings

What you bring

• Commercial or health-related basic training and ideally professional experience in social or private insurance
• Further training as a social insurance clerk or the federal specialist certificate as a social insurance expert is an advantage
• Confident communication, quick comprehension, and networked thinking
• Enjoyment of customer contact
• High personal responsibility, good work organisation and team orientation
• Strong commitment and resilience
• High social and communication competence
• Foreign language skills (French) are an advantage
