About the job
For people with people
To provide the best service to our insured persons, clients, and customers, we are looking for committed individuals to enrich our team.
The IV Office Basel-Stadt is the cantonal competence centre of the federal disability insurance. With around 120 employees, it supports insured persons with health impairments in their professional integration and accompanies them in all other insurance matters.
We are looking for you as
Specialist Case Management Medical Services
Your tasks
You are the contact person for legal guardians of children, adolescents, and young adults with complex medical and psychosocial situations. You accompany them in the form of case management and combine professional service processing with holistic case management. This role is based as a two-person team in the Benefits Department.
You independently process applications for medical measures, aids, and helplessness allowance from registration to issuance of the decision. This also includes reviewing and processing any objections.
You clarify and assess the insurance medical situation and maintain the electronic file.
You build trust with the parents early on, conduct inventories, and identify support and action needs.
You coordinate internal and external specialist offices, network the parties involved, and accompany important transitions in the developmental process (kindergarten to school or school to training).
You initiate interdisciplinary case discussions, bring together different perspectives, and further develop the case management of medical services.
What distinguishes you
You have a degree from a higher technical school or a comparable qualification, ideally in the educational, medical, or psychosocial field; further training or a CAS in Case Management is an advantage.
You bring understanding of medical and social contexts, a good sense for people, and enjoy working with children with health impairments and their families.
You quickly grasp complex situations, recognise connections, and act independently, reliably, and solution-oriented. Knowledge in the social insurance sector is a great plus.
You communicate clearly and appreciatively, enjoy interdisciplinary work, and have an interest in actively further developing case management and its processes.
What you can look forward to
You will be part of a lively team that looks forward to you.
You will take on a responsible area of work where the person is at the centre and your work creates real added value.
You work in a respectful culture that promotes openness and mutual support.
Your modern workplace is centrally located in Basel and you benefit from attractive employment conditions as well as flexible working models with the option of home office.
