System Engineer
Your Tasks
- Responsible for the operation, further development, and technical support of Splunk and Cribl as central logging and analysis platforms
- Leading the further development and stable operation of our monitoring and observability platforms with Zabbix, Grafana, and Prometheus
- Active involvement in shaping modern Kubernetes and container platforms with Rancher, Helm, ArgoCD as well as HAProxy and Traefik
- Design, implementation, and maintenance of Ansible automations to standardise and increase efficiency in platform operations
- Co-responsibility for the operation and further development of database platforms such as PostgreSQL, MariaDB, and/or MySQL
- Definition and implementation of technical standards as well as collaboration on security, operational, and automation guidelines
- Technical responsibility in infrastructure and platform projects, changes, maintenance, and rollouts
- Structured analysis and sustainable resolution of complex faults at 3rd level
- Participation in on-call duty on a rotational basis with the team
Your Skills
- Completed training or degree in IT or a comparable qualification
- Several years of experience in engineering and operating complex Linux, container, and platform environments
- Solid Linux knowledge as well as very good practical experience with Ansible
- Proven expertise in Splunk and/or Cribl and the ability to operate and further develop central logging and analysis platforms
- Very good knowledge in monitoring and observability, especially with Zabbix, Grafana, and/or Prometheus
- Practical experience in operating and further developing Kubernetes and container platforms
- Knowledge of Rancher, Helm, ArgoCD as well as HAProxy and/or Traefik
- Basic knowledge of PostgreSQL, MariaDB, and/or MySQL
- Knowledge of Python or Go is an advantage
- Experience in IT and infrastructure projects, ideally with technical partial responsibility
- Strong customer orientation and the ambition to continuously improve IT services
- High personal responsibility, structured working style, and enjoyment in collaborating with various departments
- Very good German and good English skills
