ICT System Engineer

We are a Swiss engineering and EMS service provider for key industries. Since 1982, we have been supporting our customers – whether startups, SMEs or corporations – in all phases of the product lifecycle. To strengthen our ICT Services division, we are looking for a committed, skilled and customer-oriented ICT System Engineer for our approximately 240 employees (around 160 users) at our locations in Wettingen and Jaklovce in Slovakia (no travel required).

Your responsibilities include:

• ICT operations and system administration: You manage, administer and monitor our server, network, cloud and client systems, ensuring stable and secure operation.

• Maintenance and development: You are responsible for the ongoing maintenance and updating of our ICT infrastructure and application landscape, especially patch management, and continuously optimise existing systems.

• User support: Together with the team, you provide 1st and 2nd level support and handle tasks related to user administration, permissions, as well as the provision and support of ICT workstations.

• Technical conception: You analyse new requirements, independently develop solution approaches and evaluate suitable technologies.

• System engineering and projects: You accompany ICT projects from the initial idea to implementation, taking responsibility for planning and coordinating the execution.

• Collaboration with service providers: You work closely with our external ICT service providers on technical projects and ensure a smooth transition of implemented solutions into operational use.

What convinces us:

• You have completed an IT apprenticeship specialising in system technology or a comparable qualification.
• You bring several years of professional experience in ICT system administration, ICT system engineering or a comparable role.
• You have solid knowledge of the Microsoft environment (Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365) and possess a broad technical understanding of networks, server and storage systems as well as virtualisation (ideally Hyper-V).
• You appreciate the variety between operational and conceptual tasks, enjoy optimising existing systems and independently familiarise yourself with new technical topics.
• You can analyse technical requirements in a structured manner, develop solution approaches and independently drive their implementation.
• You enjoy working in a team, communicate clearly and understandably, and value exchange with employees as well as external ICT service providers.
• You have good spoken and written German skills.
