About the job

The Special Education Center Hagendorn (HZH) offers specialized education and care for children and adolescents with cognitive and/or multiple impairments. An important part of our offer is the Career Orientation Year (BFJ), which is located in the School Bridge Program (S-B-A) at Ziegelmattweg in Zug. The BFJ supports adolescents with cognitive impairments from integrative schooling (IS) and adolescents with learning disabilities (IF). In this pioneering program, we support young people after completing compulsory schooling in career orientation and integration into the workforce in the 1st and 2nd labor markets. Starting August 1, 2026 (classes at S-B-A begin on August 3, 2026), you as a school-based special education teacher will develop a professional perspective together with the adolescents and support them in unfolding their potential for the transition into the professional world.

Your Tasks

Planning and conducting individualized BFJ teaching units
Co-designing individual, integrative teaching units with adolescents from the School Bridge Program
Pedagogical main responsibility for the teaching of the adolescents as well as professional support (mentoring) of the job partners
Development of an individualized and competence-oriented educational plan
Enabling work experiences in the 1st and 2nd labor markets
Careful planning of the transition into the professional world
Maintaining relationships and active collaboration with employers in the 1st and 2nd labor markets, IV career counseling, actors in the vocational education landscape, and the legal guardians

Your Profile

Completed studies in school-based special education
Experience teaching adolescents with cognitive impairments and/or learning disabilities or motivation to acquire this
Experience supporting adolescents in the school-to-work transition or motivation to acquire this
Solution-oriented, flexible, and humorous personality
