Would you like to help shape the management of the P&C business with sound analyses and meaningful financial information? Are you excited to make planning and reporting processes simpler, faster, and more data-driven?

As a Senior Planning & Performance Analyst, you will strengthen the Finance division at Zurich Switzerland in the area of Planning & Performance Management and make an important contribution to the financial management of the P&C business through sound analyses.

You manage and analyse the financial performance of the non-life business (P&C) and translate complex data into clear decision-making bases. You work closely with colleagues from Underwriting, Claims, Actuarial, and Sales. With your expertise, you continuously improve planning, forecasting, and reporting processes.

This role suits you because: You take on a central role at the interface between Finance and Business. Your analyses create transparency, support well-founded decisions, and help to further develop the financial management of our P&C business in Switzerland.

What to expect

• You are responsible for analyses of the monthly and quarterly financial statements, prepare the results appropriately for the audience, and explain significant developments.
• You develop the multi-year financial plan together with the team and relevant stakeholders in the specialist departments.
• You manage the forecasting process for the profit and loss account (P&L), analyse deviations from the plan and previous year, and derive relevant insights.
• You create meaningful reports, dashboards, and ad-hoc analyses for different stakeholder groups.
• You actively drive the standardisation, automation, and further development of systems, data, and financial processes.

What distinguishes you

• You have a degree from a university of applied sciences or university in business administration, finance, controlling, or a comparable field.
• You bring at least three years of professional experience in controlling, financial planning & analysis, reporting, accounting, underwriting, or portfolio management – ideally in the insurance or reinsurance business.
• You analyse complex issues in a structured way, recognise connections, and prepare results clearly and decision-oriented.
• You work confidently with Excel and MS Office; experience with reporting, planning, or business intelligence solutions is an advantage.
• You communicate fluently in German and confidently in English and work collaboratively with different stakeholder groups.
