About the job
Möbel Märki is the largest, still genuinely Swiss furniture specialist store with 6 branches in the German-speaking part of Switzerland. We provide advice in the showroom, at customers' homes, and at the most important public fairs. Our motto is "living more beautifully – living better – that’s märki for us!"
We are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic personality who immediately radiates and generates sympathy. The arrival of our visitors should leave them surprisingly positive and with the best memories. The receptionist should be able to draw on extensive life experience to assess visitors and assign them to the appropriate customer advisor.
You will share the reception duties with a colleague equally over the six opening days. Monday to Friday 12:00–18:30, Saturday 9:30–17:30. This means you work a 4-day week, with every second Saturday included in the weekly rota. This basically results in about a 60% workload. In addition, there are holiday and sickness cover duties for your colleague and occasionally a shift on a Sunday when the store is open for sales. This results in a 100% workload for a few weeks each year.
The reception is the hub of the branch, and the receptionist is also the assistant to the branch manager. To perform this task confidently and with oversight, it is advantageous if you already have experience with a telephone switchboard and correspondence. You will work on a PC with Outlook, Word, Excel, and a cash register programme. Swiss German for communication and German in writing. The team wishes for a colleague aged between 25 and 40 years.
We offer a good working atmosphere, a , and the possibility of independent work. Reliable communication skills and strong social competence are important. Returnees to the workforce are welcome with us.
Please address your application to our branch manager Leo Vonlanthen. We look forward to it working out with us and us being a good match, and to walking the further professional path together. "That’s märki for us!"
