Specialized or social educator for Educational Spaces
The Women-Mother-Child Department is recruiting a specialized or social educator at a 65% rate, for a fixed-term contract from 01.03.26 to 31.10.26, with the Educational Spaces of the Children's Hospital.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and training.
Within the Women-Mother-Child Department, the Pediatrics Service offers comprehensive and multidisciplinary care for children aged 0 to 18 years. It maintains close links with other department services such as neonatology, pediatric surgery, adolescent medicine, gynecology, and obstetrics.
Mission
- You ensure the support of patients during their hospital experience by offering educational and recreational activities and services
- You stimulate the biopsychosocial development of hospitalized patients according to their health status
- You carry out actions promoting socialization, support, and communication among peers
- You support families and relatives on a human and educational level
- The work is distributed from Monday to Friday, from 8:45 am to 5:30 pm, Saturday from 8:55 am to 1:00 pm, and on Thursday evenings from 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
Profile
This position is intended for a dynamic person with interpersonal skills and a sense of responsibility.
- You hold a Bachelor’s degree in social work (HES) or an equivalent recognized title
- You have experience in pediatrics, which is an asset
- You demonstrate motivation and aptitude for interdisciplinary work focused on patient needs
- You show interest in child and adolescent development
- You are autonomous, proactive, reactive, organized, and eager to get involved in project implementation
- You are flexible and able to adapt to fluctuating activity.
