About the job
For a client from the public administration sector, we are looking for an experienced Pega Lead Business & System Architect. In this long-term project assignment, you will play a central role in designing and further developing modern business applications. We are seeking an experienced individual with 5-10 years of practical experience who supports our clients in the successful implementation of innovative Pega solutions and drives sustainable digital transformations.
In this position, you connect business and IT, translate complex requirements into viable solution architectures, and impress with your strong consulting skills as well as your extensive consulting background.
Your tasks:
- Application of Pega Blueprint in client projects to efficiently translate business needs into architecture and implementation concepts and create well-founded decision bases for stakeholders
- Independent end-to-end implementation of Proof-of-Concepts (PoCs) directly at the client site - including solution design, execution, validation, and presentation of results
- Professional management and guidance of interdisciplinary project teams to ensure high-quality, consistent, and efficient implementation of Pega-based solutions
- Consulting clients at eye level on Pega functionalities, architectural principles, best practices, as well as transformation and optimisation approaches
- Use of Pega App Studio to demonstrate standard functionalities, workflows, and designs live and convey a tangible vision of the target solution
- Driving workflow transformation through the strategic use of preconfigured Pega components and consistent application of Pega best practices
- Conceptualisation and design of robust IT solutions and business processes, including BPMN modelling, process design, and coordination of technical solution architectures
- Conducting and moderating workshops for requirements gathering, solution finding, and prioritisation as well as active stakeholder management
- Application of agile methods (Scrum) for iterative value delivery and structured management of project progress
- Solid requirements management with a clear focus on capturing, structuring, and validating business needs using Pega Blueprint
- Excellent business process modelling (BPMN) for analysing and optimising complex end-to-end processes as a basis for Pega case design
- Practical experience with agile methods (Scrum), especially in the role of a Business Architect within a Pega delivery framework
- Confident stakeholder management to clearly communicate and manage business requirements, Pega-specific solution options, and architectural decisions
- Experience in moderating workshops, e.g. for Pega Blueprint sessions, journey mapping, DCO workshops (Directly Capture Objectives), and solution design workshops
- Competence in IT solution design, especially in the context of Pega case lifecycle design, data modelling, integration design, and UI concepts
- Strong consulting skills and customer orientation, particularly regarding Pega best practices, Pega governance, and transformation approaches
- Strong consulting background with proven successes in CRM or BPM transformation projects using Pega technology
- Comprehensive experience with Pega or comparable low-code/BPM/CRM platforms (e.g. Appian, Camunda), including the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable Pega solution architectures
- Experience with Pega App Studio and demonstrating standard functionalities and workflows
- Experience in implementing Proof-of-Concepts (PoCs) in client projects
- Pega certifications such as LBA, BA, SSA, or LSA are advantageous
- Experience in the professional leadership of interdisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of modern transformation and digitalisation initiatives in the BPM/CRM environment
- Experience collaborating with enterprise architecture and delivery teams
- Very good German and English skills, both spoken and written
