About the job
Zurich has many architectural firms. One of them has commissioned us to search for them. What sets it apart from the others: it does not win competitions by chance, but because it has the right people at the right time on the right project. Those who join here work closely with management and have the medium-term opportunity to become part of it themselves. The position is made for people who want to make a difference and do not wait to be asked.
The firm employs around 50 to 70 people and has made a name for itself in Zurich with demanding projects, a serious competition practice, and a culture where design quality is non-negotiable. We are now looking on behalf of the firm for an architect for the early phases and acquisition.
What to expect.
- Design & Competitions You develop architectural concepts from the first idea to submission, translate requirements into clear solutions, and help create presentations.
- Project Development & Acquisition You participate in the selection of competitions, support pitch documents, and take part in client meetings.
- Communication & Interfaces You communicate design ideas internally and externally, coordinate with project management and specialist planners, and contribute to the firm’s positioning.
- Further Development & Market Understanding You observe trends, reflect on competitions, and bring in new impulses.
What you bring with you.
- Requirements:• Completed architecture degree ETH, FH or equivalent.• Several years of experience in design and competitions.• Strong design skills and structured working method.• Communication skills and entrepreneurial thinking.
- Desirable:• Experience in project development or client contact.• Understanding of client needs and experience with juries/authorities.• Specialisation in design, urban planning and/or project development.
What’s great about the job?
- A position with real design influence and development potential. Prospectively: the step into management.
- Participation in demanding competitions and projects.
- Flat hierarchies and close exchange with management.
- Flexible working hours and possibility to work remotely (project-dependent).
We look forward to your application with CV, portfolio and a short motivation letter about yourself and your future plans.
