At Siemens Smart Infrastructure, we support our clients in creating smarter, more sustainable, and higher-performing buildings. To support the development of our activities in French-speaking Switzerland, we are looking for a Business Development Professional passionate about the energy transition, sustainability, and digital solutions.
In this role, you will contribute to the development of our energy and sustainability services portfolio by identifying new business opportunities, supporting sales teams, and advising our clients on their energy performance and decarbonisation projects. You will work closely with sales, technical teams, and sustainability experts to promote innovative solutions that meet market needs.
Your responsibilities
- Develop energy and sustainability services activities with clients and partners in French-speaking Switzerland.
- Identify, qualify, and support business opportunities in collaboration with sales teams.
- Advise clients on their energy efficiency, decarbonisation, and sustainability needs, and propose suitable solutions.
- Contribute to the preparation of offers, business cases, and the identification of available financing mechanisms or aid.
- Support client presentations, promotional campaigns, and the development of the solutions portfolio.
- Analyse market trends, client needs, and competitor activities to identify new growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal teams, portfolio experts, and engineering offices to promote Siemens solutions and support projects.
Your talents and experience
- Technical degree in sustainability, engineering, energy, Facility Management, or a similar field.
- Proven experience in business development and/or sales of energy, sustainability, or smart building solutions.
- Good knowledge of energy performance, decarbonisation challenges, and digital solutions applied to buildings.
- Experience in consultative selling and value-based selling.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and client relationship development skills.
- Team spirit, client orientation, autonomy, and ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.
- Fluency in French and English.
Travel
Availability for regular travel (approximately 50% of the time) to clients and sales offices in French-speaking Switzerland, depending on business needs and collaboration with teams.
