Sales Manager, Member of the Management Team
In this role, you report directly to the CEO. Your introduction will be prepared and directly supported by your future superior and the current post holder. You will familiarise yourself with the company and the sales team you will lead and get to know the specialists from sales support. You are interested in your employer’s core competencies in the areas of toolmaking, industrialisation, and production and impress in external appearances with your expertise. The focus of this position lies in the development of sales strategies and the definition of new markets as well as in the leadership and further development of the existing team. You appreciate the short communication paths in an SME as well as the active and respectful exchange across all hierarchical levels.
Your Tasks:
- Leadership, promotion, and further development of the sales team and the technical internal sales department
- Planning and organisation of resources within the department, close coordination with the technical department, optimisation of work processes, and ensuring compliance with sales targets
- Identification and development of new markets combined with targeted acquisition of new customers
- Setting sales targets, budget planning, and development of sales strategies to secure the site in the long term
- Analysis of sales performance and regular reporting to management
- Management of strategically important key accounts (Key Account Management)
- Conducting price and terms negotiations up to conclusion
- Co-shaping the general pricing policy as well as sales-promoting measures
Your Profile:
- Higher technical education, supplemented by further training in business administration or sales management
- Experience as a sales manager with close ties to the supplier industry
- Leadership experience as a coach and morale builder for sales teams
- Enjoyment of conceptual and operational tasks in a larger SME
- Fluent German and English skills for negotiation
