Speech therapist for the University Neurorehabilitation Service
The University Neurorehabilitation Service is strengthening its speech therapy services and is looking for a speech therapist at 60%, for a fixed-term contract from March to October 2026.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, it plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The Department of Clinical Neurosciences (DNC) brings together the neurosurgery, neurology, neuropsychology, and neurorehabilitation services, the Leenaards Memory Center, the neuroscience research center, as well as the Spinal Surgery Service. It offers integrated and personalized care to patients suffering from diseases of the central and peripheral nervous system.
The University Neurorehabilitation Service (SUN) is involved in the treatment of nervous system injuries such as traumatic brain injuries, strokes, multiple sclerosis, or brain tumors. It provides highly specialized and interdisciplinary care throughout the patients' recovery journey, from the hospital phase to outpatient follow-up.
Mission
- You provide autonomous clinical services in your area of expertise to brain-injured patients
- You develop rehabilitation tools and actively participate in the service's research activities
- You take part in teaching and continuing education activities, sharing your skills and experience with your colleagues.
Profile
- You hold a Master’s degree in speech therapy or an equivalent qualification; an advanced Master’s in neuropsychology is an asset
- You have clinical experience in aphasiology and neuropsychology
- You possess in-depth theoretical knowledge in neuropsychology as well as expertise in aphasiological assessment and rehabilitation
- You are comfortable with scientific literature in English and integrate it into your professional practice
- You master common computer tools necessary for clinical activity, documentation, and interdisciplinary work
- You speak at least one foreign language, with sufficient oral and written skills to conduct assessments and, if necessary, therapeutic interventions.
💡 Salary class: between level 09 and level 11, depending on the candidate’s profile.
