For an established Swiss company in the trading sector, we are looking immediately or by arrangement for an experienced individual as Interim IT Application Manager Warehouse Management System (WMS). In this versatile key role, you will take operational responsibility for central logistics applications for several months and simultaneously lead a small application management team. The focus is particularly on systems related to warehouse management, storage logistics and automated logistics processes.

What to expect:

• Technical and organisational leadership of a team of around 5 employees
• Responsibility for operation, support and further development of the deployed warehouse and logistics applications
• Analysis of requirements from operational logistics and translation into technical and professional specifications
• Support of ongoing WMS, interface and application implementations
• Taking over and independently managing sub-projects within logistics and IT projects
• Coordination between departments, internal IT, process management and external software or implementation partners
• Support in testing, documentation, training as well as in complex professional and technical issues

What you should bring:

• Several years of experience in IT application management, ideally with a focus on warehouse management systems, logistics or supply chain
• Solid experience with implementation, further development and support of business applications
• Very good understanding of storage processes, logistics workflows and the interface between business and IT
• Experience in leading or coordinating a small IT or application management team
• Experience in IT projects as well as in managing sub-projects or comparable areas of responsibility
• Strong hands-on mentality, quick comprehension and the ability to quickly familiarise yourself with existing systems and processes
• Business fluent German skills in spoken and written form, fluent English skills are an advantage
