Team Leader Indirect Purchasing (80-100%)
You don’t just want to purchase, but to create structures, develop people, and make a global impact? Then you are exactly right with us.
As Team Leader for Indirect Purchasing, you take on a key role in our international procurement team. You combine strategic foresight with an operational hands-on mentality, lead a dedicated team, and continuously develop Belimo’s indirect purchasing.
It’s not about reinventing everything. Much already works very well – your task is to understand what exists, develop it purposefully, and take the next steps together with your team.
-
You lead and develop a team of currently four employees and strengthen an open, performance-oriented, and collegial team culture.
-
As an approachable leader, you communicate proactively, stay close to your employees, and live "Lead by Example" – with clarity, reliability, and a good dose of composure.
-
You develop global procurement and category strategies for indirect materials and services and implement them successfully.
-
In doing so, you identify savings and optimisation potentials and realise sustainable cost savings and cost avoidance.
-
In demanding international price, contract, and framework agreement negotiations, you act confidently and represent the company’s interests with negotiation skill and assertiveness.
-
You purposefully develop strategic suppliers, manage their performance, and ensure quality, delivery reliability, service, and compliance.
-
Furthermore, you lead global procurement, transformation, and digitalisation projects and work closely with Finance, HR, IT, Operations, Legal, and other departments.
-
Together with relevant stakeholders, you continuously develop processes and standards in indirect purchasing, analyse procurement and supplier risks, and drive sustainable solutions in global procurement.
-
Several years of experience in strategic purchasing, ideally with a strong focus on indirect purchasing.
-
Leadership experience in a managerial role as well as enthusiasm for developing, promoting, and inspiring employees towards common goals.
-
Proven successes in indirect purchasing, for example in achieving savings, conducting tenders, demanding negotiations, supplier management, or developing and implementing global purchasing strategies.
-
Ideally, additional experience in direct purchasing and a good understanding of the interrelations along the entire supply chain.
-
Strong negotiation skills and assertiveness, combined with the ability to remain objective in challenging situations and to handle differing positions and conflicts constructively.
-
A proactive and communicative personality who values closeness to employees and stakeholders and convinces through a solution-oriented, reliable, and pragmatic manner.
-
Very good German and English skills, both spoken and written, as well as confidence in working in an international environment.
-
A completed degree, for example in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Technology, Finance, IT, or a comparable field, combined with willingness to travel internationally about 10% of the time.
