Senior Cloud Data Platform Engineer /Azure / Terraform /100%/ ZH
Project focus: For a demanding digitalisation project in Zurich, we are looking for a Senior Cloud Data Platform Engineer to further develop and operate a productive cloud data platform in an enterprise environment. The focus is on expanding the Azure platform, integrating new data ingest patterns, as well as automating and stabilising platform operations. Workplace Zurich 100% from 01.01.2027 for a duration of 14 months.

Tasks:

• Operation, further development and optimisation of the cloud data platform
• Automation of infrastructure and deployments with Terraform, Helm and GitLab
• Further development of CI/CD processes for reliable releases
• Participation in technical concepts and architectural decisions
• Integration of components such as Kafka, Spark, APIs and batch processing
• Implementation of monitoring and alerting as well as analysis and resolution of operational issues
• Support of connected specialist applications in integration and onboarding
• Consideration of security, enterprise and regulatory requirements

Requirements:

• Several years of experience in building and operating productive cloud data platforms
• Very good knowledge of Azure, especially AKS and storage accounts
• Solid experience with Git/GitLab, Docker and Terraform
• Experience with lakehouse technologies such as Iceberg or Delta Lake
• Knowledge of Entra ID, RBAC and OAuth
• Programming skills in Python and/or Java
