Legal Adviser / Lawyer (m/f/d)

About the job

We are looking for an internationally oriented Legal Adviser / Lawyer (m/f/d) to strengthen our young, dynamic team as soon as possible.

Your tasks:

You independently analyse and handle legal issues relating to international railway transport law as well as regulatory topics at the interface of EU law and transport law and advise our members.

You manage international working groups/committees in the areas of freight transport, passenger transport and infrastructure both substantively and organisationally and prepare their meetings and resolutions.

In international partner organisations and expert committees, you represent the positions of CIT.

Developing CIT statements and presentations for workshops and conferences is also part of your duties.

Together with the experts from member companies, you work on the ongoing updating and further development of CIT products at the interface with digitalisation and AI.

You prepare qualified contributions for CIT publications (newsletters, brochures and scientific articles).

Your profile:

You have an above-average successfully completed law degree (Master, State Examination in Law or equivalent qualification), ideally with distinction.

You have a strong interest in regulatory issues and European legislative and harmonisation processes. Initial practical experience and knowledge in international transport law, railway law, EU law are desirable. However, we also offer highly qualified career starters a chance.

You are characterised by an independent, structured and solution-oriented way of working.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills in two official languages of CIT are further strengths of yours (mainly German and English at C1-C2 level; knowledge of French is an advantage).
