We offer you a varied range of tasks
- Independent, cost-conscious management of the material portfolio to ensure optimal availability - in close cooperation with operational purchasing, as well as adjacent departments and project purchasing
- Optimisation and maintenance of the existing supplier portfolio as well as building and further developing long-term, partnership-based relationships with our suppliers
- Development and implementation of product group and supplier strategies in coordination with purchasing management and other internal interfaces
- Conducting thorough market, supplier and product group analyses to identify opportunities, risks and potentials - applying the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) approach
- Planning and conducting supplier audits as well as active management of quality complaints
- Participation in compliance with legal requirements and reporting obligations (e.g. within the framework of supply chain laws)
What you bring with you
- Technical basic training (polymechanics, construction, or similar)
- Completed higher vocational training in the technical / commercial field (industrial engineering, technical buyer) or comparable further training
- Several years of experience in strategic purchasing, preferably in a developing and manufacturing environment with a focus on metal and plastic components
- Sound technical knowledge as well as a good understanding of industrial manufacturing processes
- Pragmatic personality with high cooperation skills and a proactive, responsible approach
- Goal orientation, decisiveness and communication skills as well as pronounced negotiation skills
- Confident handling of MS Office, especially Excel, as well as sound experience with ERP systems
- Very good German and good English skills
