About the job
The municipality of Cham, with around 18,700 residents and approximately 240 employees in the administration, is one of the largest municipalities in the canton of Zug. In the Social Affairs and Health department, we are committed to the people of Cham with expertise, dedication, and a strong service orientation.
To strengthen our administration team, we are looking for an engaged, responsible individual to start immediately or by arrangement as
Clerk / Administrator Social Affairs + Health (60%; Working days MON, TUE, WED)
Your tasks
- Case administration, accounting, and support in file management in social assistance
- Conducting eligibility checks and issuing decisions for care vouchers and rent subsidies
- Alternating telephone and counter service during opening hours
- Independent and careful preparation and follow-up of meetings of the Youth Promotion Commission
- Responsibility for maintenance payments and the financing of family support, including all administrative processes
- Administrative tasks and accounting in other areas of social and health services
- Participation in projects and in the further development of the department
Your profile
- Commercial basic training, further training as an administrative specialist is an advantage
- Several years of practical experience in accounting or bookkeeping
- Experience in social services, especially in social work, social insurance, or public administration is an advantage
- Analytical thinking skills, strong numerical understanding, and very good IT user skills, especially in MS Office and KLIBnet
- Independent, efficient, and service-oriented working style
- Enjoyment in dealing with people and in a meaningful task
- Team spirit, sense of responsibility, and interest in social issues
- Flexibility and willingness to familiarise yourself with new areas of responsibility and participate in projects
