The Sommerau school boarding home is a social and special education institution offering services for children and adolescents with special support needs aged 7 to 21 years. For over 170 years, Sommerau has been established in a natural location in the upper Basel region and is well networked in the educational and social area of Northwestern Switzerland.

The boys and girls are socially pedagogically supported in four residential groups, attend the internal special school at primary school level, and then external secondary schools (public school) or vocational training in the region.

Social Pedagogue HF/FH 80 - 100 %

You bring

A diploma in social pedagogy, skills and joy in working with children of both genders from 7 years old who are in a challenging developmental phase.

Creativity and humor as well as a high willingness to build relationships in working with children and adolescents.

For the operation, it is necessary to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
