About the job
To strengthen our team in Basel, we are looking for an engaged, art-affine and communicative personality for a versatile role, starting immediately or by arrangement.

- Responsibility for the online bidding platforms (exporting, preparing and uploading catalogue data)
- Responsibility for shipping management, ensuring smooth and timely execution of physical mailings (exporting, preparing address lists and handing over to the printing company)
- Support with marketing measures as needed
- Press work (translating, editing and sending press releases, maintaining the press distribution list, responding to press enquiries) in close cooperation with our external press officer
10% Social Media
- Responsible for managing the Instagram channel, planning and producing content in close collaboration with the social media specialist in Paris (medium-term planning: you will further develop the social media channels and ensure a consistent appearance.)
20% Art Handling
- Assisting with logistics and warehouse management, customer reception and the handover of art objects
Your profile
You are an organised, curious and solution-oriented personality who enjoys taking responsibility and quickly familiarises yourself with new topics.
You have a keen sense for images, design and storytelling and are naturally at home on social media platforms such as Instagram.
At the same time, you are practically minded, like to lend a hand and work carefully and responsibly.
What you bring
- Completed studies or a comparable qualification, for example in art history, cultural management, communication, media or business administration
- Several years of professional experience in a relevant field
- Great interest in art and high-quality objects
- Experience with social media, content and digital communication
- Structured, independent and reliable working style as well as strong organisational talent
- High sense of responsibility, discretion and tact in dealing with clients, consignors, business partners and art objects
- Resilience and the ability to keep an overview and set priorities correctly even with several parallel projects
- Very good knowledge of German, French and English
What we offer
- A versatile key position with direct insight into the work of an auction house
- Short decision-making paths and direct collaboration with management
- Lots of personal responsibility and the opportunity to contribute your own ideas
- A varied working environment between art, communication, customers and organisation
- The opportunity to actively shape the appearance and digital development of our house
- A personal, committed team and a high-quality cultural environment
- A field of activity where no day is quite like the other
