About the job

The Foundation Living in Old Age in Hinwil offers a home to around 90 elderly and care-dependent people. Spread over four departments in two buildings, as well as in 29 retirement apartments – some with services – we are committed daily to ensuring that our residents feel safe, comfortable and well cared for. 

For our nursing home, we are looking for motivated and dedicated individuals to strengthen our kitchen team immediately or by arrangement.

Your area of responsibility

As deputy head chef, you support the kitchen management in the efficient organisation and smooth execution of daily kitchen work as well as in budget preparation and ongoing controlling according to budget guidelines. You ensure the preparation of balanced meals that meet the needs of the residents and contribute to compliance with hygiene and quality standards. Your varied working day is complemented by participation in special events. 

Your profile

• Completed training as a chef EFZ
• Experience in a sous chef position desirable
• Strong organisational skills and business understanding
• Clean, precise working method, new ideas and creativity
• Initiative, service- and implementation-oriented personality
• Several years of professional experience in residential and community catering an advantage
• Passion for the profession, high team spirit, flexibility and resilience
• Warm demeanour and lived hospitality are a matter of course
• Optimistic attitude and commitment to a positive working atmosphere
