About the job
Frontwork is a passionate communications specialist and has been successfully involved in the visual implementation of concepts for many years. We employ people who enjoy their work and combine their craft and creative know-how. Together, we develop solutions for our clients – drawing on experience from over 30 different vocational trainings.
From plenty of freedom, personal responsibility, and commitment arises the unique Frontwork spirit. Together, we make brands tangible. Our principle: Hire for attitude, train for skills – because personality makes the difference for us. We live flat hierarchies and place the customer at the centre of our actions.
To strengthen our interior design team (fit-outs of offices, kitchens, apartments), we are looking immediately or by arrangement for a committed individual as a CAD Designer for space planning and wood or metal.
Your task
You create CAD layouts and space plans for office, work, and interior fit-out areas and develop functional solutions based on floor plans, customer requirements, and measurements. You produce 3D visualisations and renderings of office and interior fit-out projects, allowing our clients to gain a realistic impression of the planned spaces before implementation. You design individual solutions and custom-made items in the field of metal or wood construction. You create project-specific CAD designs as well as workshop, production, and assembly plans for our in-house manufacturing. You conduct on-site measurements if necessary and incorporate the structural conditions into your planning and design. You support our project managers in the technical development and constructive implementation of their projects. You assist our assembly teams with technical queries and accompany demanding installations directly on site. You clarify constructive details and interfaces and develop practical solutions together with our specialists.
Your profile
You have completed a technical or craft apprenticeship, for example as a designer, draughtsperson, carpenter, metalworker or a comparable qualification. You possess very good CAD skills and can independently create technical drawings and designs. You have experience in creating floor plans, space layouts, and ideally office plans. You have knowledge in 3D visualisation and rendering or are interested in further developing in this area. You bring good technical and constructive understanding as well as a pronounced spatial imagination. Knowledge in wood and/or metal construction as well as interior fit-out is an advantage. You do not only think at the screen but understand how a design must be produced, transported, and assembled on site. You work independently, precisely, and solution-oriented, keeping an overview even with several simultaneous tasks. You enjoy working with different departments and take pleasure in seeing your planning come to life in reality.
Our offer
We offer you a high degree of personal responsibility and an exceptionally versatile role between space planning, CAD design, visualisation, production, and assembly.
With us, you do not just draw plans that are then implemented externally somewhere: you work directly with the people who manufacture your designs in our own joinery, metal construction, and other production areas and then assemble them at the client’s site.
From the initial office planning through rendering and technical detailed design to the finished object, you can experience firsthand how your planning becomes reality.
Exciting projects with renowned clients, short decision-making paths, a professional and motivated team, as well as plenty of room for your own ideas and technical solutions await you.
Are you looking for a versatile and varied challenge where creativity and design are just as important as technical understanding and precise design? Then we look forward to receiving your complete application documents (CV with photo, references, and certificates) by email to personal(at)frontwork.ch.
