About the job
The St-Barthélemy Foundation aims to welcome and support adults who notably have intellectual disabilities, mental health issues, or autism spectrum disorders. It promotes their self-determination, autonomy, and social participation by involving them in decisions that concern them. Social Educators, Social Educators ES/HES, from 50% to 90%
The available positions are located in the different departments of the Foundation, each hosting up to 8 residents who have mild to moderate or even severe intellectual disabilities, associated or not with mental health disorders. Although some residents generally have capacities in performing daily life activities, their various needs require permanent educational presence.
Your mission
- Support residents (ASD, complex situations, etc.) daily in carrying out their life project, based on the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD)
- Work in a multidisciplinary team for the development, monitoring, and evaluation of personalized support projects
- Develop and maintain network collaboration, both internally with the health service, therapists, and other Foundation services, and externally with families, legal representatives, specialists, and various partners
- Support residents in performing daily life activities and basic care
- Perform care and medico-technical acts related to your level of competence
- Participate in the Foundation's development projects
- Attend various sessions such as conferences, status meetings, summaries, etc.
- Carry out all administrative tasks related to support
Your profile
- Diploma as Social Educator, Social Educator ES or HES
- Significant experience with people presenting intellectual disabilities and associated disorders
- Proven organizational skills and ability to work both autonomously and in a multidisciplinary team
- Physical and mental resilience to handle complex situations
- Listening skills and ability to promote interdisciplinary collaboration
