Your Tasks

As Program Lead & Applied Researcher, you will take operational responsibility for selected undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in the field of Financial Management, Accounting and Controlling at Bachelor, Master and continuing education levels (MSc, MAS, CAS). In this role, you will work closely with the department management and be responsible for the operational management and further development of the programmes assigned to you. You will coordinate and lead programme directors and lecturers professionally and ensure high quality in teaching, content and processes. Additionally, you will combine your role with your own teaching activities, applied research as well as consulting and expert activities. In doing so, you will contribute to the further development of our educational offerings and to the transfer of knowledge between the university and practice.

Your Responsibilities:

• Operational responsibility for education and further education offerings in the area of Financial Management, Accounting and Controlling (MSc, MAS, CAS)
• Coordination and professional leadership of external CAS programme directors
• Lecturing activities in undergraduate and postgraduate courses (BSc/MSc/MAS)
• Ensuring and further developing quality in didactics, content and processes
• Participation in the acquisition and implementation of practice-relevant research projects including evaluation, documentation, result preparation and publication in specialist journals
• Supporting the department management in the (further) development of practice-oriented Bachelor, Master and continuing education offerings (CAS, DAS, MAS)
• Monitoring current market and professional developments and deriving impulses for the further development of the programmes
• Advising and recruiting students, supervising study groups and partner organisations
• Contributing to the implementation of consulting and expert activities for companies, administrations and associations to promote knowledge transfer

Your Profile

• Completed university degree (MSc/M.A.) in Business Administration, Financial Management, Accounting or Controlling; a PhD or doctorate is an advantage
• Several years of professional experience in Financial Management and ideally experience in the higher education sector
• Experience in collaboration with programme directors and lecturers; leadership experience is an advantage
• High initiative and sense of responsibility
• Strong practical orientation and existing network in Financial Management (e.g. with Big 4s, CFOs)
• Good analytical, scientific and methodological skills as well as confident use of quantitative and qualitative research methods and interest in entrepreneurial issues
• Initial experience in the development of learning formats and study programmes, for example as a Teaching Assistant, Research Associate or Post-Doc
• Very good language skills in German and English
