Your tasks

• You operate, monitor, and further develop our server and storage platforms.
• You ensure the availability, performance, and security of our backend systems.
• You plan and implement infrastructure projects and document the results.
• You are responsible for the lifecycle management of server, storage, and virtualisation systems.
• You analyse and resolve complex faults in 2nd and 3rd level support.
• You contribute your expertise to architecture and design decisions for new technologies.
• You automate operational processes with scripts and infrastructure tools.
• You support the further development of backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity concepts.
• You take on on-call duties and help ensure that our systems function reliably outside regular working hours.
• You collaborate with internal departments as well as external partners and manufacturers.

Your profile

• You have completed training in computer science or a comparable qualification with a focus on system technology or data centre operations.
• You have sound knowledge in operating physical and virtual server systems, especially VMware ESXi, as well as storage systems.
• You analyse problems in a structured manner and find efficient solutions.
• You keep an overview even in complex faults and critical situations.
• You are flexible and willing to take on tasks in adjacent specialist areas.
• You live in the German-speaking part of Switzerland or have your main residence in the region. This means you are also easily reachable for on-site assignments if needed.
