We are looking for a committed and reliable person for a one-year traineeship in the field of conservation/restoration (80 %) starting 1 January 2027. Due to the renovation and extension of the cultural property protection facility, the entire collection will be temporarily relocated to an external art storage at the beginning of 2028. As part of the traineeship, you will support us particularly in the conservation and organisational preparation of the artworks for the relocation.
Your area of responsibility
- Conservation and restoration examination of artworks in the context of the depot relocation
- Preparation of condition reports and photographic documentation
- Determination of suitable packaging types for transport and professional packaging of the artworks
- Organisational support in the preparation and implementation of the depot relocation
- Planning and executing restorations professionally
What we expect from you
- Completed university degree in conservation and restoration (Bachelor or Master)
- Practical experience in the conservation and restoration handling of artworks
- Confident and careful handling of artworks
- Independent, reliable and structured way of working
- Willingness to collaborate and engage in professional exchange within the team
