The Child and Adult Protection Authority (KESB) of the Dietikon district is an interdisciplinary specialised authority responsible for child and adult protection in the eleven district municipalities with a total of around 95,000 inhabitants. The main task is to examine, order and monitor the legally prescribed measures for the  protection of children  and adults, whereby the KESB takes their self-determination into account and preserves it as far as possible.

As the central contact point of KESB Dietikon, the Administration and Central Services Department is responsible for the smooth administrative support of the specialised departments and the first contact with clients. No day is like another: from case opening to meeting preparation – your work has a direct impact on the protection of children and adults in difficult life situations.

For the Child and Adult Protection Authority (KESB) Dietikon district, we are looking for a temporary maternity cover from January 2027 to the end of September 2027 as

• Reception and communication: telephone, counter service, mail and email processing (triage according to urgency)
• Case management: administrative opening, preliminary clarifications, file maintenance, filing and archiving
• Authority meetings: preparation, dispatch of decisions, invoicing
• Support: general administrative assistance for specialised departments (appointment management, correspondence)

• Commercial apprenticeship or equivalent qualification
• Professional experience in administration, justice or social sector
• Very good German language skills, spoken and written
• Empathy and resilience in dealing with clients in crisis situations
• Conflict management skills in demanding situations
• High resilience and pronounced ability to cope with pressure
• Service orientation and understanding of the work as a contribution to the whole
• Interest in the field of child and adult protection
