Mobile Basel is committed to social inclusion for people with mental health challenges and disabilities as well as addiction disorders through eight residential and outpatient housing services.

The Mobile Basel head office is a small team of professionals from management, human resources, finance and accounting, pedagogy & quality, ICT and data protection, as well as technical services & property management. Together, we support our operations or create the conditions for a functioning operation and thus for good living and working conditions.

As a Technical All-Rounder, you and a teammate share responsibility for the maintenance and upkeep of the apartments and properties we use. You ensure that everything in the houses and apartments is in order and functioning. Is this your thing?

Your tasks – to keep our infrastructure running

• You ensure the smooth operation of our technical infrastructure in the housing services.
• You independently carry out repairs, maintenance, and upkeep work in our rented apartments and properties.
• You obtain quotes, calculate costs, and coordinate orders with external craft businesses.
• You take on administrative tasks such as documenting work and invoicing.
• You participate in Mobile’s internal projects, with interfaces to Technical Services & Property Management.
• You cooperate closely with colleagues from the head office and housing services as well as externally with administrations and owners.
• You tackle changing challenges and find solutions that you implement.
• As a craftsman and all-rounder, you manage the balancing act between blocked sanitary facilities and programming and configuring locking and heating systems.

Your profile – hands-on, reliable and solution-oriented

• You have completed a recognised vocational training EFZ in a craft profession, for example in building maintenance, electrical, plumbing, or a comparable field.
• You bring broad professional experience in maintenance, repairs, and the management of properties or technical systems.
• You work independently, carefully, and well organised.
• You think holistically, recognise connections, and find pragmatic technical solutions.
• You keep an overview in a dynamic operation even when tasks require your attention simultaneously and at different work locations.
• You naturally use digital tools and are confident with technical programmes and controls as well as MS365.
• You communicate service-oriented, reliably, and appreciatively with different stakeholders.
• You engage with people in various life situations openly and professionally.
