For our HR team at the headquarters in Schaffhausen, we are looking for a committed and professionally skilled individual for a fixed-term position. In this central role, you will ensure, together with the team, a reliable, timely and legally compliant payroll for our nationwide corporate group.
Specialist in Payroll & Personnel Administration (60-80%) Fixed-term until the end of January 2028
What you will achieve
- Independent handling of the monthly payroll processing for around 420 employees across 7 clients
- Maintenance and processing of all payroll-relevant changes in the Abacus payroll system
- Responsibility for withholding tax including monthly settlements
- Participation in monthly and annual closing tasks in the payroll area, including reconciliations, reports and evaluations
- Contact person for various stakeholders regarding questions about payroll and social insurance
- Ensuring high data quality as well as compliance with legal, insurance and tax regulations
- Preparation of statistics, reports and other payroll-related evaluations
- Tracking of work and residence permits
- Handling the monthly expense run in collaboration with the team
- Participation in the optimisation and digitalisation of payroll and HR processes as needed
- Close cooperation with the HR team, financial accounting and external partners
- Supporting the HR team as needed in personnel administration, for example with entries and exits, contract changes, absences and claims
- Preparatory work for the annual personnel cost budget
What you bring
- Commercial basic training as well as training in HR specialist with a federal diploma or comparable qualifications in payroll or social insurance
- Several years of solid experience in independently managing the entire payroll process in Switzerland - from monthly payroll processing to annual closing
- Very good knowledge of Swiss social insurance, withholding tax and ideally labour law
- Solid experience with Abacus
- Very good MS Office skills, especially Excel, as well as experience with reporting and evaluations
- Experience in general personnel administration is an advantage
- Precise, structured and responsible working style
- High discretion and a professional approach to confidential data
- Service- and solution-oriented, team-capable personality
- Very good German skills in spoken and written form; French skills are an advantage
- Enjoyment in pragmatically further developing existing processes and systems
