Our client is an internationally active family business in the field of industrial packaging. For a new production site in the German-speaking part of Switzerland (between Aarau and Olten), we are looking for a practical SHEQ Specialist – Focus on Occupational Safety.
You will take on operational tasks in quality management and support the site in implementing occupational safety, health protection, and environmental protection.
Your tasks:
- You record internal production defects, initiate appropriate measures, and monitor their implementation.
- You contribute to the systematic reduction of internal scrap rates for raw and semi-finished products.
- You handle internal complaints as well as customer and supplier claims.
- You conduct quality controls, safety inspections, and hygiene rounds and monitor testing equipment in cooperation with the main plant.
- You prepare risk assessments and operating instructions and plan safety inspections.
- You support internal and external audits as well as customer visits.
- You instruct and train employees and support line managers with questions regarding safety and health protection.
- You contribute to the development and updating of the safety concept, safety manual, and emergency organisation.
- You assist in investigating accidents, near misses, and occupational diseases.
- You take responsibility for waste, hazardous substances, and load securing topics.
Your profile:
- Completed technical training and further education in quality management
- More than five years of professional experience in a manufacturing company
- Knowledge of processes in industrial mass production, ideally in the plastics sector
- Knowledge of relevant standards and norms, especially ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, and ISO 50001
- Sound knowledge in occupational safety and environmental protection
- Experience with quality management methods such as Q7, 8D, KVP, and FMEA
- Confident handling of SAP ERP and MS Office
- Very good German skills as well as good English skills
- Structured, process-oriented, and independent working style
- Good analytical skills, communication strength, assertiveness, and team spirit
- Training as a Safety Officer (SiBe) is a strong advantage. If you do not yet have this, you can complete it as part of the role.
