For our client, a leading Swiss bank, Swisslinx is seeking a Senior Specialist in the field of AI Governance & Risk. You will support the implementation of a bank-wide governance framework for artificial intelligence.
Senior Specialist AI Governance & Risk – Banking
Job description:
- Embedding the existing AI framework in relevant directives, policies and operational processes
- Translating regulatory and internal requirements into concrete technical and organisational measures
- Review and risk-based classification of AI use cases, AI applications and AI models
- Moderation of risk assessments with business units as well as application, model and control owners
- Documentation of risk classifications and derivation of appropriate measures
- Development of AI-specific controls for documentation, testing, validation, monitoring, model drift, human oversight, bias and fairness
- Support in building an AI inventory and linking it with existing IT system and model inventories
- Definition of minimum attributes and co-design of the inventory process
- Support in the introduction of an operational AI lifecycle process for change and run activities
- Creation of directives, self-assessment templates, guidelines and other aids
- Support in dealing with decentralised AI applications and unreported "shadow AI"
- Close collaboration with model governance, data governance, IT governance, information security, procurement, third-party risk, non-financial risk and the internal control system
About the customer:
This demanding role combines the conceptual development of governance requirements with the practical assessment of concrete AI use cases. You translate regulatory and internal requirements into actionable policies, controls and processes and work closely with business units, IT and various governance and risk functions.
Requirements:
- Several years of solid experience in designing or implementing governance, risk or compliance frameworks in a regulated environment
- Proven ability to translate regulatory texts and internal requirements into practical controls and processes
- Practical experience in developing and applying risk classifications
- Experience in creating policies, directives, assessment templates and governance guidelines
- Good understanding of several relevant disciplines, such as model governance, data governance, IT governance, information security, third-party risk or non-financial risk
- Strong skills in stakeholder management and workshop moderation
- Ability to operate effectively within established governance structures with defined roles and decision paths
- Fluent German skills, including the ability to draft formal governance documents
- Very good English skills for working with international regulations, standards and technical documentation
Advantageous:
- Direct experience with AI governance, responsible AI or AI risk management
- Experience in banking or the broader financial services environment
- Knowledge of FINMA requirements and the EU AI Act
- Experience with AI, model or IT system inventories
- Knowledge of AI lifecycle controls, including validation, monitoring, drift controls, human oversight and fairness
- Experience in the operational implementation of governance frameworks
