Tasks
As a Laboratory Technician EFZ specialising in Chemistry, you will work in the two main areas of analytics and synthesis. In analytics, chemical compounds are systematically examined for their composition and purity. In synthesis, individual chemical substances are combined to form new compounds.
At IMPE, we offer an apprenticeship with specialist training in analytics. During your 3-year training, you will learn all the important basics of chemical laboratory work in the first year and deepen your knowledge in the subsequent specialist training in analytics. You will also work in a team with scientific staff and assistants as well as our industry partners on current R&D projects. You will operate state-of-the-art high-tech equipment and glass apparatus, continuously document your work, and evaluate the recorded results on the PC. Working in the laboratory requires clean, precise work as well as perseverance and patience.

- Successful performance records in mathematics, natural sciences & technology, English and German
- Interest in chemistry, mathematics, physics and enjoyment of experimenting

By the way - you will attend vocational school at the Vocational Training School Winterthur (BBW). You also have the opportunity to attend the vocational baccalaureate school alongside your apprenticeship.
In the first two years of training, there is an inter-company course each year at the University of Zurich at Irchel.
