Our pressure and flow sensors perform important tasks: for example, in dialysis machines, in the efficient use of water, or in reducing emissions. Behind this are precise technology, a high level of manufacturing depth, and people who understand their craft.
Our production is growing. Along with it, the demands on our procurement increase. For this, we are looking for a personality who understands technical contexts, strengthens their team, and implements sustainable solutions together with our suppliers.
Head of Global Procurement (100%)
Your task: leading and further developing procurement
You are responsible for strategic and operational procurement and lead the procurement team in Würenlos. You work closely with our international colleagues. You ensure material supply and develop a procurement organisation that reliably supports our growth.
In doing so, you naturally move between supplier negotiations, the production hall, and strategic planning.
- Leading your team: You create orientation, set clear priorities, and develop your employees professionally and personally.
- Supplying production: You recognise bottlenecks early and effectively counteract them with your team and the involved departments.
- Shaping procurement: You develop category and supplier strategies for direct and indirect materials and open up international procurement opportunities.
- Managing suppliers: You negotiate prices and framework agreements, further develop partnerships, and consistently address quality, performance, and contract issues.
- Influencing technical decisions: You involve procurement early in development, industrialisation, and make-or-buy projects.
- Creating transparency: You improve ERP-supported processes, data quality, and key figures. Together, you keep an eye on costs, quality, inventories, and supply risks.
What you bring
You know the procurement of a manufacturing industrial company from your own experience. You understand what missing parts mean for production and can collaborate on equal terms with production, engineering, and quality.
- Several years of experience in strategic and operational procurement as well as proven leadership experience in an industrial environment.
- A solid technical background: for example, a basic training as a polymechanic, designer, or in another technical profession. Equally welcome is a commercial entry with several years of technical procurement practice and a sound understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Appropriate further training in procurement, supply chain management, or business administration – or comparable practical competence acquired in practice.
- Experience with international suppliers, ideally in Europe and Asia, as well as confidence in demanding negotiations and dealing with framework agreements.
- Proficient use of ERP systems and procurement data as well as experience in improving procurement processes.
- Very good German skills and good to very good English.
As a leader, you listen, decide, and implement. You incorporate your team’s knowledge, address problems openly, and remain factual and reliable even under pressure. You can develop a strategy and pitch in when day-to-day business demands it.
