(Senior) Chemical Engineer, R&D

To strengthen our Process Technology team within the R&D department in Visp, Switzerland, we are currently looking for a (Senior) Chemical Engineer or Process Engineer.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

• In this role, you will represent and further develop expertise in chemical engineering within interdisciplinary project teams together with colleagues from R&D, Operations, Safety, Quality, and Product Marketing.
• Process development and scale-up of chemical laboratory processes to production scale
• Optimization of various chemical production processes regarding yield, throughput, quality, safety, and ecology
• Support production teams with problems; for example, through process data analysis, special analyses, in-depth process knowledge, and coordination of various contacts
• Planning, supervising, and evaluating experimental work at laboratory and pilot scale
• Consulting on technical and business decisions and solving scientific problems
• Leading, coaching, and developing laboratory technicians
• Anticipating and implementing trends and innovations in the field

Qualifications and experience:

• MSc or PhD, ideally in chemical engineering or process engineering
• Ideally relevant experience in process development and production
• Written and spoken language skills in German and English (C1 / B2)
• Proactive working style and enjoyment of interdisciplinary teamwork
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
