About the job

The Migros Zurich cooperative, with around 6,000 employees, supplies the Zurich metropolitan area from its Herdern operations centre in a 7x24h operation: Over 220 locations are supplied daily with fresh products. Here, as a Security Specialist, you take on responsibility in a dynamic, complex environment.

Important notes: Early: 08:00-16:00 (weekends/public holidays) / Late: 16:00-24:00 / Night: 00:00-08:00

What you will achieve

• You monitor the lodge during continuous operation, operate security-relevant technology, and handle notifications and alarms.
• You conduct regular patrol rounds and ensure safety and order on the premises.
• You intervene in medical emergencies as well as fire, gas, and technical alarms (HVAC).
• You manage the telephone switchboard, forward calls, and provide information.
• You receive and register visitors and assist with general enquiries.
• You manage the issuing and return of keys for authorised persons.

What you bring

• Education: Completed vocational training (EFZ)
• Specialisation: Completed technical training or equivalent
• Professional experience: At least 4 years of professional experience in the required field
• Technical flair and quick understanding of security and building technology.
• Flexible, resilient personality with impeccable reputation and good physical condition; willingness to work irregular hours including night and weekend shifts.
• Good PC user skills, quick grasp of monitoring, control centre and access systems, as well as good MS Office knowledge.
• High reliability, independent and customer-oriented working style, confident demeanour even in hectic situations.
• Willingness to learn, enthusiasm for further training and strong team spirit.
• German (B1)
