Application Developer ERP Environment (m/f/d)
How do you stop a drone in mid-air? Our Rocken partner develops and produces intelligent interception systems for unmanned aerial vehicles. With electrically powered Sentinel systems reaching speeds of up to 230 km/h, the company protects critical infrastructures from unwanted intruders from the air. The solutions combine autonomous flight control, intelligent seeker heads, and modular design – from pure interception to controlled removal into safety zones. Software that supports operations is not created on the drawing board but through dialogue with the people who use it daily. This is exactly where the work as an application developer in the ERP environment begins. At the centre is a long-established ERP system along with other internal specialised applications. You bring in new functions, keep the architecture lean, and connect the applications with the rest of the system landscape. Those who enjoy well-thought-out data models and durable code will find plenty of scope for creativity here.
Responsibilities:
You extend the internal specialised applications and the core functions of the enterprise software.
You gather requirements from the business units and shape them into robust, maintainable solutions.
You analyse processes and data flows and identify untapped optimisation potential.
Additionally, you implement interfaces to adjacent systems and partner solutions.
You design user interfaces for experienced users.
You also maintain code quality through reviews and tests and investigate operational disruptions.
Qualifications:
You have already developed business applications or enterprise software.
You are familiar with software architecture, process logic, and data modelling.
You work proficiently with a common programming language such as C++, C#, or Java.
Furthermore, Git and established development workflows are part of your skill set.
You break down complex topics independently into manageable steps and write code that others can understand.
Also welcome: experience with UI frameworks, databases (SQL/NoSQL), REST or messaging, as well as a feel for distributed architectures.
