Are you fascinated by the combination of independent fieldwork, thorough investigations and contact with a wide variety of people? Would you like to use your experience in property and liability insurance to find fair and sustainable solutions for our customers even in challenging situations? Then we should get to know each other.

As a claims inspector, you will strengthen the Claims business unit at Zurich Switzerland in the Property and Liability Claims area, Claims Inspectors team, and manage complex claims cases in property and general liability insurance in the Zurich and Aargau region. You will accompany cases from the initial investigation to completion, assess coverage, liability and extent of damage, and conduct negotiations with the parties involved. You will regularly be on site, make decisions independently and ensure careful, efficient and customer-oriented claims handling.

What to expect

• You independently handle complex claims cases in property and general liability insurance - from claim notification to completion.
• You clarify facts with policyholders, injured parties, experts, legal representatives and insurance companies and inspect damage sites in the Zurich and Aargau region.
• You assess insurance coverage, liability and extent of damage and make decisions within your competencies.
• You conduct negotiations with the parties involved, coordinate the necessary measures and arrange claim payments.
• You examine recourse possibilities and work closely with internal specialist departments as well as external partners.
  
  

What distinguishes you

• Training in insurance; a professional insurance certificate or a degree from a higher technical school for insurance is an advantage.
• At least five years of professional experience in handling claims cases, ideally in property and/or general liability insurance.
• Sound knowledge in coverage and liability assessment as well as experience in dealing with complex claims cases.
• Confident negotiation skills, a convincing manner even in demanding situations, and a pragmatic and customer-oriented approach to finding solutions.
• Independent, structured and reliable working style, very good German language skills and good MS Office knowledge; additional language skills are an advantage.
