Network & Cloud Security Engineer 100% (m/f)

In this central role, you are responsible for the technical security of our Microsoft environment as well as our Fortinet network infrastructure: from hardening and prevention to monitoring and incident response.

What you can achieve with us

• Independently manage exciting Network & Cloud Security projects in the areas of Azure, Microsoft 365, Fortinet firewalls and network infrastructure, from conception through implementation to handover to operations.
• Maintain and further develop the Microsoft cloud environment (Azure, Entra ID, Microsoft 365) and implement new security features, policies and baselines.
• Take responsibility for our cloud security: Identity & Access Management (MFA, Conditional Access, RBAC), hardening as well as protection of cloud resources and data.
• Maintain and further develop the Fortinet firewall and network infrastructure at our 40+ locations.
• Plan and implement security controls for Azure and M365 services and provide pragmatic, secure solutions for different business requirements.
• Expand security monitoring and detection use cases and support incident response, vulnerability management and remediation.
• Contribute your ideas and optimisation proposals, such as Zero Trust, Least Privilege and automation (Infrastructure/Policy as Code).

What you bring to your role

• Completed IT training (e.g. system technology), computer science degree HF/FH or a comparable qualification
• Solid experience in carrying out security projects in the areas of network and cloud
• Practical experience in security best practices, hardening and baselines (e.g. CIS benchmarks, NIST CSF), policy management and secure configuration
• Know-how in handling security incidents, threat hunting, security monitoring and automation (PowerShell, Azure Policy, IaC with Bicep/Ansible)
• Good knowledge of incident, problem & change management
• Ideally certifications in Azure and Microsoft 365, Cisco, ITIL
• Independent and self-reliant working style
• High customer orientation and audience-appropriate communication skills as well as good social competence
• Willingness for continuous training and adaptation to new technologies
• Analytical thinking and strong problem-solving skills
• Good German and English skills
