For the Civil Status Department, we are looking for a

Co-Head and Specialist in Civil Status Affairs (m/f/d)

from 1 November 2026 or by arrangement

• Together with your co-head, you will lead the Civil Status Department with seven employees in terms of personnel, organisation, and expertise
• You ensure the legally correct execution of tasks in civil status matters
• As a specialist contact person, you support and accompany employees in their daily work
• You handle cases of the department and perform certifications in the civil status register
• You exercise supervision over civil status affairs in the canton and are responsible for the training and further education of persons working in civil status matters
• You lead or accompany projects and support the office management in civil status matters

• Federal specialist certificate as a civil status officer, preferably with additional legal training
• Solid professional experience in civil status affairs
• Good knowledge of administrative procedural law
• Leadership experience is an advantage
• Very good oral and written expression in German
