For an internationally oriented company in the financial services sector based in Central Switzerland, we are looking immediately on a temporary fixed-term basis with the option of extension for an experienced and committed individual as
Accounting Specialist 100% (a) fixed-term for 6 months, Central Switzerland
Your tasks:
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements according to Swiss Code of Obligations (OR) and international accounting standards (IFRS)
- Active participation in subsidiary and general ledger accounting
- Support with direct and indirect tax matters as well as the preparation of tax declarations
- Independent handling of payment transactions
- Participation in the implementation, execution and monitoring of the internal control system (ICS)
- Preparation of reports and analyses for internal and external stakeholders
- Collaboration on projects to optimise and continuously develop financial processes
- Close cooperation with the Director of Finance and the existing accounting team
Your profile:
- Completed business studies with a focus on finance or a comparable commercial education with a professional accounting certificate
- At least five years of professional experience in accounting; experience in a corporate environment is an advantage
- Good SAP knowledge is required
- Confident use of Office 365
- Structured, independent and precise working style with a strong sense of responsibility
- Hands-on mentality and the ability to flexibly respond to different tasks and requirements
- High commitment, initiative and enjoyment of teamwork
- Very good German skills as well as good English skills
