Birsfelden is a vibrant suburban community with around 10,500 inhabitants. We are looking immediately or by arrangement for a committed individual for the position of
Community Police Officer or Police Security Assistant (80-100%, m/f/d)
In this role, you will belong to the Security & Rescue department, which undertakes extremely varied and demanding tasks in the area of community policing and municipal event services. In addition to your main duties, you will support the fire brigade, civil protection, and command staff in the event of an operation. The department's responsibilities are rounded off by coordination in market affairs and ensuring occupational safety.
Your tasks include:
Enforcement of public peace and order in accordance with the community's police regulations
General patrol duties
Traffic police tasks & controls including speed measurements
Prevention of criminal acts through presence and community policing
Administrative work in the area of parking management as well as preparing reports and notifications to the responsible authorities
Carrying out watch duties
Assuming the deputy role of the community police team leader
For this role you bring:
Completed federal police training EFZ or border guard or police security assistant with the corresponding certificate
Skillful handling of common IT programmes and the relevant police applications. Experience in speed control is an advantage
Impeccable reputation as well as high social competence, ability to work in a team and resilience
Willingness to take on secondary roles as well as to complete training and further education
Citizen-oriented and communicative manner as well as enjoyment in dealing with people
Foreign language skills are an advantage
Willingness to work evening or weekend shifts
