We are looking to fill the position immediately or by arrangement:
Chief Technician: Heat Pumps (m/f/d) (80–100 %)
As Chief Technician, you are a central technical contact for heat pumps. You support our service technicians with demanding issues, analyse complex faults, and ensure that our systems are professionally commissioned, diagnosed, and repaired.
You will work both in technical support and directly on our customers’ systems. In this role, you report to the Co-Head of Service, Heat Pumps, Roberto Di Cerbo.
Your area of operation covers the whole of Switzerland. Since you will start many assignments directly from your place of residence, living in Central Switzerland or the Midlands is advantageous.
Your tasks
- Technical 1st and 2nd level support for our service technicians and customer service in the area of heat pumps and technology.
- Support with general and demanding technical customer enquiries
- Systematic fault analysis and support in troubleshooting – by phone, remote access, and on site
- Commissioning, functional checks, and optimisation of heat pump systems
- Diagnosis and repair of heat pumps including work on the refrigeration circuit
- Accompanying our service technicians on complex service assignments
- Support in the introduction and professional training of new service technicians
- Creation and maintenance of checklists, instructions, and technical documentation
- Analysis of recurring fault patterns and participation in the further development of our service quality
- Support of service management and deputising
- Close cooperation with the Co-Head of Service and existing Chief Technician HP, Roberto Di Cerbo
You bring with you
- Completed technical basic training in heating, refrigeration, or electrical engineering (heating installer EFZ, refrigeration system mechanic EFZ, electrical installer EFZ)
- Several years of professional experience in service, commissioning, and troubleshooting of heat pumps
- Sound knowledge of hydraulics, electrical, control, and refrigeration technology
- Professional permit for handling refrigerants
- Further training as a heating systems specialist, chief installer, technician HF, or a comparable qualification is an advantage
- Strong analytical skills and a structured approach to complex faults
- Enjoyment in imparting knowledge clearly and supporting employees professionally
- Confident handling of digital diagnostic, service, and documentation systems
- Independent, reliable, and solution-oriented working style
- High willingness for regular assignments at our customers and associated travel readiness
- Friendly and competent manner towards customers, employees, and partners
- Good German language skills in spoken and written form
- Other national languages, especially French, are an advantage
- Driving licence category B
