What to expect
As production manager, you will take on the operational management of our agricultural production together with the production leadership team, from seasonal planning to implementation in the field. Your focus will be on vegetables & arable crops, from seed, fertilisation and crop protection to crop rotation, cultivation strategy, irrigation and harvest, as well as purchasing of operating materials. You plan personnel deployment, lead the team directly in the field and ensure efficient processes. At the same time, you further develop our production with a view to regenerative agriculture, profitability and ongoing efficiency improvements. A special focus is on our main crops, pumpkin and asparagus. Together with those responsible in the production team and farm management, you continuously develop these crops. The evaluation of new varieties, optimisation of cultivation methods as well as the further development of mechanisation and storage form central pillars.
What you bring
You have completed training as a vegetable grower EFZ or a comparable agricultural qualification, for example as a farmer EFZ, and already have experience in agricultural production. Knowledge of vegetable growing, especially in the cultivation of pumpkin or asparagus, is an advantage. You enjoy leading, supporting and motivating people and are familiar with managing employees from different cultural backgrounds. Organisational talent, strong communication skills and entrepreneurial thinking characterise you. You are keen to continuously improve processes, analyse data and introduce modern working methods. Your German language skills, both spoken and written, are very good; other languages are an advantage but not essential. You are hands-on and resilient during peak seasons.
What you can expect
With us, you can take on responsibility, develop yourself, and experience a down-to-earth corporate culture with genuine team spirit. You will be challenged and supported, and you are welcome to actively contribute to the company’s development. We offer attractive employment conditions with various benefits. In addition, at Jucker Farm AG you will find an employer for whom sustainability is part of the company DNA.
