WRS Widmer Rail Services AG is a family-run railway company (EVU) operating in the three language regions (German, French, Italian) of Switzerland as well as in Germany, Italy and Austria. For this purpose, WRS uses its own extensive fleet of locomotives, its own shunting capacities and its own personnel (train drivers and shunters) and, if necessary, also trains them independently. WRS operates from several locations in all parts of the country to provide its customers with perfect service. The dispatch / control centre area plays a crucial role and makes a significant contribution to the company’s success.

Due to ongoing growth, we are looking for a resilient and flexible personality for our motivated team in Rümlang with immediate effect or by arrangement as

Your challenges:

• Coordination of orders with central planning
• Dispatch of individual orders (checking order data / ordering train paths / allocation of traction units and train drivers / system entries with infrastructure operators / customs & loading documents) with regard to capacity optimisation
• Creating time- and distance-optimised duty rosters for train drivers, shunters and inspectors
• Problem solving in case of operational disruptions and staff shortages
• Guidance and support of train drivers with questions and problems

What you should bring:

• Proven experience as a dispatcher, train driver or shunter
• Practical experience in railway technology is an advantage
• Strong organisational skills with business-oriented thinking & acting
• Good PC skills and affinity for IT programmes
• Very good German skills (French and Italian are an advantage)
• Decisiveness as well as high resilience and stress tolerance
• Willingness to work in shifts
