Integration Coach UAM 80% in Zürich Uster (m/f/d)
Caritas Switzerland has been operating asylum centres for families, individuals and unaccompanied minors (UAM) at currently four locations in the canton of Zürich on behalf of the cantonal social office (KSA) since March 2024.
As an Integration Coach UAM, you coordinate the social, educational and professional integration of unaccompanied minor asylum seekers at the UAM centre in Uster.
Your tasks
- Documentation of assessments or status determinations, in particular short assessment IAS "Results of potential clarification" for all UAMs
- Registrations for integration measures from the IAZH catalogue
- Organisation of educational and professional follow-up solutions
- Documentation of conversations, planned and implemented measures
- Quarterly processing of the life areas professional and educational integration in close cooperation with the social pedagogical contact person
- Conversation documentation on integration topics
- Responsibility for professional integration: clarifications, cooperation with specialist agencies and support in the search for apprenticeships
- Cooperation with institutions and authorities to discuss integration-specific issues
- Reporting according to the specifications of the Integration Specialist Unit
- Preparation of integration-relevant information for the exit phase
- Exchange with schools, legal guardians and professionals (participation in status meetings)
- Completed training in social work, social pedagogy, vocational, educational or career counselling, pedagogy or a comparable qualification
- Further training in case management and/or on integration topics is an advantage
- Good knowledge of the Swiss education and vocational training system, in particular the various educational pathways and follow-up solutions
- At least five years of professional experience, of which at least two in the care sector
- Enjoy working with unaccompanied minor asylum seekers (UAM) and understanding of their special life situation
- Knowledge and experience in the application of social assistance law
- Very good oral and written German skills as well as good oral skills in another national language and/or English and/or an asylum language
- IT skills, ideally with case management software Tutoris
- Clean special private extract from the criminal record or willingness to submit this before starting the job
